Rex a saurus Toy Story Birthday Cake!

Happy 3rd Birthday to Michael!  Here are some pictures of his Toy Story Rex cake that was a delish vanilla cake with whipping cream and fresh strawberries filling.  It had a little buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant too.  Rex was made out of rice krispies and covered in fondant.  He had to be yummy!

Cesia's Cake

Cesia's 1st birthday isn't until June 26, but this cake is already in her mom's freezer! Since the "tia" won't be around for her birthday, I made it ahead of time and froze it. Hopefully all goes well with the thawing!Feliz dia, Cesia!

Tomorrow is Dan's birthday and I always* give his mom flowers on that day. It's my way of thanking her for giving birth to him and raising him to be a fine man. (He's getting a pumpkin pie, by request, for his big day tomorrow!)

* Okay, so the year after my first son was born I forgot until 6 months after Dan's birthday. Oops!

Simple Birthday Cake!

Keeping it simple sometimes proves to be really hard for me.  Such as it was with this cake!  I kept asking "are you sure no colors, no fondant, no swirls?"  But I'm really glad my friend stuck to her vision and insisted on just dots and buttercream because this cake turned out quite sophisticated and gorgeous-just like her!

The fresh carnations and strawberries complemented the lemon cake and made for a lovely spring birthday cake!
